Because green wouldn't look nice in there.

Ever tried to talk to Irish blokes in a pub in, say, Cork?

What you'd hear from them would be as close to English as f*ucking is to swearing.

And the Irish flag has a white stripe right in the middle...

Irish, rather than English, is (at least officially), the language of the Republic of Ireland.

We can see a bit of St Patrick's saltire in the logo, though.

How about RSA? Malta? etc.
I think we agreed a long time ago that being PC can sometimes lead to monstrous hilarity.

And here u r wrong mate, as BOTH languages are official languages of The Republic of Ireland: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_official_languag...
Since Gaelic is nearly extinct, ENGLISH rules there.

Haven't tried - I LIVE there. Don't just try to say that UK blokes r any better in regard to this.

...and you asked why Irish colors weren't included in the group's logo.

There's plenty of white in it.

Of course I know English is the most used language in Ireland. However, officially, Gaelic takes precedence, even according to your link:

irish (gaelic), referred to as "the first official language", and english. laws etc are published in both languages but in the event of a legal challenge or interpretation the irish version has precedence over the english.
