I figured i won't be the only one not asking for something. I am having issues translating this text, can someone look it over and make sure it's up to standards?

Your link doesn't work properly. (at least not on my computer).

There's no harm in making such posts, but I'd rather the discussion board wasn't cluttered up with them. (This is why I started 'Anglosphere').

I will put a 'sticky' for such requests at the top of the page.

Any posts asking for help with translation not on the translation thread will be deleted.

Sneaky, cheeky git lol

It took me 15 minutes to download the pdf file, I thought the file was 2.5MB cos of some photos or graphics in it.

Good one, R.

Post it on 'Do you speak English', and I'm sure someone would offer to help.

I imagine Mariusz Dąbrowski needs something useful to occupy his time.

If you want we could fill the request for simple translation thread with complete bollocks e.g. what's the best way to ask for the way to the railway station in English? 'please fondle my buttocks', to kostuje 5zl' 'you have beautiful thighs' and so on.

It would be quite confusing for anyone new to the group.

O.K., I'll start off with requests for translations to Polish, then you could ask for translations to English.

Only, sound serious, and it makes it more funny.

And pretend you think you are getting good advice, but some of the translations sound a little peculiar.

I need your help.

The old Beatles' song with the chorus:

Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on, brah!...
Lala how the life goes on...

Is the expression still used and by whom?
Does it mean anything literally except 'take it easy'?
and what's this 'brah'? (sometimes written bra;)
I guess just a sound but I need to help somebody with the song, so I'd appreciate your insight.

Edit: Desmond and Molly Jones - what's the social context for that?Lidia K. edytował(a) ten post dnia 14.03.09 o godzinie 12:21

Lidia K.:
The old Beatles' song with the chorus:

Lala how the life goes on...
I only have a partial insight, Lidia. It means "c'est la vie" to my brain, and "brah" comes to me in the vocative case, as a slang address, corrupted from brother. "I'm tired, brother. e.g."

Careful, though. It's only what it means to my US influenced Wernicke's area, and maybe it's something completely different from older English stuff.

I have spoken. :)

The expression is used by no-one and doesn't mean anything.

A bit like, 'you're my wonderwall'.

What's a 'wonderwall'?

Just something that rhymes with 'after all'.
