Working as a sub-contractor for IBM Poland Storage Team in Wroclaw, I’m responsible for implementation / design and managing of simple to highly complex TSM environments for outsourcing customers - Carrefour, UWV, Honda & IBM on different platforms are just an example. Various projects, such as optimization, upgrade, migrate & implement TSM. Support / troubleshooting TSM Clients, TDP for Exchange, SQL, SAP R / 3 and Oracle. Manage, configure/cabling hardware, upgrading firmware etc. Managing V7000 and Libraries – TS4500, TS3500 - is also part of my responsibility.

My duties include ensuring SLA/SLO compliance on recovery of Business critical applications in both a design and support capacity. I am responsible for maintaining Audit compliance where required. My current role defines also (backup) team lead of the TSM sub-team.

In addition I have been seconded to several external projects where IBM GTS has acted on behalf of IBM ITS to backfill specialist skills shortages.

TSM implementation in the datacenter in the UK for a major broadcast company. They have chosen a solution from EMC, Vblock with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Data Domain & TS3310 Library with LTO5 drives. TSM Server 6.3.3.0 is installed on a Cisco UCS B200 blade deployed within the Vblock based on Enterprise Linux. DD860 (Data Domain) EMC as backend data storage in nfs mode. Implementation Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments. The TS3310 Library will only be used for offsite vaulting, Disaster Recovery & Archive purposes.


Seconded to IBM SSO-NL Storage Team in Amsterdam, I’m responsible for implementation / design and managing of simple to complex TSM environments for outsourcing clients, such as van Lanschot Bankiers, Volker Wessels & IBM on different platforms. Mainly I was active and responsible for Essent account with 29 TSM servers, various libraries (3494, TS3500 and TS3310) at different locations, 8 ProtecTIER's (clustering / replication). Various projects, such as optimization, upgrade, implement TSM and ProtecTIER. Support / troubleshooting TSM Clients, TDP for Exchange, SQL, SAP R / 3 and Oracle. Manage, configure/cabling hardware, upgrading firmware etc.

Seconded to Atos Origin, MSS Storage in Eindhoven. Partly responsible for Philips PBAS, Lighting & Diamond environment for TSM / Storage / SAN & Libraries mainly on AIX environments. Support / troubleshooting TSM Clients, TDP for Domino and SAP R / 3 and Oracle.
