• Plant Controller’s shadowing in all his activities (month end closure, forecast and budget definition with variances analysis, customers’ profitability analysis, support for Sales management, KPI reports and costs analysis);
• finding solutions for smoother cooperation between Capgemini – the outsourcing company, GFS (Global Financial Services of International Paper) and local administration (avoiding the same activities in different sites, transferring additional activities outside plant’s administration);
• administrative activities for production plant (payments, SOX controls, compliance to RCTS, month end activities, unblocking of customers’ orders, petty cash management, employees’ expenses control and payment execution).

• preparation, roll out and supervision of a new credit policy for IP in Italy together with credit team based in Cracow;
• risk management through continue cooperation between credit department, insurance company, legal advisors and business (visits to customers, credit risk reviews, financial analysis, continue monitoring of incoming orders);
• business decision support to the Operations Manager;
• doubtful accounts management (bad debt, suspense and write-off procedure, VAT recovery procedure, regular meetings with external lawyer, broker and insurance company, daily follow up on claims and legal status of practices);
• supervision in credit area (compliance to RCTS, overdue and bad debt forecast before month/year end, turnover declaration for insurance company, providing support during internal audit in credit department);
• providing support and participation in internal audit in credit department as well as cooperation with external auditors;
• close cooperation with HQ’s Higher Management and Plant Controllers, GFS and Capgemini;
• business analysis (providing consolidation of forecasts of all Italian entities and preparation of variances analysis vs. budget, estimations, previous month and year for Finance Director and General Manager, month/year end reports, BS reconciliation, BS reviews with Higher Management from Brussels);
• reporting development with IT support, certified mailbox management, ad hoc reports/requests/problem solving;
• bank issues and petty cash management.

• preparation and implementation of credit insurance in all Italian entities;
• process standardization project for financial departments in all the Italian entities and continue coordination of AP, AR and GL processes between Capgemini and local administration in preparation for Finance Redesign;
• administrative activities on HQ level: month/year end activities, consolidation and reconciliation of payment lists of all the entities, SOX controls, supervision of the internal control policies;
• main contact between bank and entities: coordinator for new bank platform migration, problems solving, petty cash management.

(Beginning September 2009 based in International Paper Italia SRL HQ in Bellusco, Italy)

• coordination of AP processes between Capgemini and IPI through revision and update of internal procedures;
• month/year end activities (accruals calculations and postings), bank statement posting.

• transition of AP process from local administration to Capgemini (training both in Italy and Poland);
• preparing detailed procedures in Italian and English, go-live for AP department, accurate and timely processing of invoices, disputes and errors management directly with vendors, process improvements.
