1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?
Not yet, but time can tell if I did.
There are some things that I stand for, I'd like to see the outcomes.
Some of them can take long time, and some of them can never be resolved, I guess.
2. ...How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?
She came to the studio that I was working for. She was a fresh opera singer (a student at that time) and we were supposed to record jingles. We had many long and nice talks. She was the one with "beauty and brains". She was funny too.
We parted to soon because of an unstable ex-love. Whole thing was just for 2-3 months, but the pain after lasted for the rest of the year.

That relationship taught me what true love is.
So I'd known what was I supposed to look for in my relationships. At least I grasped that there could be some other people from other sex that I'd like to spend my precious time with.
We still see eachother whenever we're in the same country.
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
I'm not easily offended.
I don't give too many chances to certain type of people to get too close (so I could get hurt/offended).
It takes a serious mistake from a very important person for me to be offended.
4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
Stripping in a public place and making love to an obese Arab sheikh has 2 different fares.
I take 100.000 Euros for public stripping, and about 2 million Euros for having sex with sheiks. No kissing though, that's my rule. I saw it in Pretty Woman, yes.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?
To be a worthy superstar.
If it doesn't work out, my journey for my goal would be enough.
It is enough already, but one needs different and higher goals for the sake of the moments.

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?
Honestly can't think on any at the moment, but I'm sure I've done something that could count as fighting a lost battle.
2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?
We were both 6 y.o. Pre-school. We never parted, cos nothing ever happened between us. Wouldda been great, though. Or wouldn't it?
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
Weird enough, I can only be "offended" by my nearest (nearest, not dearest, mind you) ones. Other than that I don't get offended, unless someone who knows not what their saying or doing try to convince me they're right and I'm wrong. Wait - that's not "offended". That's "annoyed".
4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
No. No such amount of money.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I don't know. the only thing that comes to my mind is that it's easier for me to defend an animal rather than to be good for the ppl closest to me - that's my parent's usual complaint.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

Well, I was just turning 7, he was my age. It "lasted" about 5 years. The only thing we did was a kiss in a basement on a Valentine's Day. I don't keep contact with him so..

And no, it did not determine my future AT ALL.. apart from the fact that I adooore pitch black hair but somehow I always end up with blonde guys.. lol.
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

Gosh, yes, I'm very easily offended, I'm rather unstable in that respect so there's no rule of what offends me the most.
But probably something that had most influence on me was a break up with a boyfriend and the things he said that day. And no, don't make me tell you how I've handled it - I did not.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

This has to do with self-esteem a lot.
The only possibility I would do it would be on drugs or drunk.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

Questions courtesy of our man in Warsaw, Mr. Adam Lipiński!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I try to be eco-friendly. Where I live, it's a constant battle.
2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

What is "love" anyway? Every time we "fall in love" is more or less like the first time, isn't it?
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

Yes, and I'm short-tempered. Can't remember a really grave insult, but my technique involves getting rid of anything or anybody that doesn't agree with me ;)

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

Like Ilter said, these would be two different things. I'd strip in public and see how much people would pay me to get dressed again! Sex for money? No, thank you.

5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

There's no "ultimate" goal for me, as my plans, goals, and dreams still change with time. I simply want to live a good life. And be filthy rich eventually, lie on my back and sip a pina colada.

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

I trully believe that I have done such things, but it's pretty hard for me to think on even one right now.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

I have met my first love in the kindergarten and as far as I remember she was the prettiest girl in the whole group. Every boy from my group has found her attractive. Furthermore my first love finally came to an end right after she had pissed in her deck chair during our ordinary nap(leżakowanie). What's more not only I was disappointed and fully resigned about her, but all my kindergarten mates too. Even more she had lost her great status of being the prettiest girl... I know it's pretty sad story but like someone have said that: "Shit happens"- in this concrete instance: "Piss happens too" ;-)

3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

Not so easy, I would say that if you are so willing to offend me you need to try hard to do so ;)
But my friends used to say that when I am so pissed off, it’s always better for them to stay very far from me ;)

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

No, never!!!!! Not for money!!! I would do that only if someone had threatened me that he could hurt my family!!! Be sure that if someone would do such thing I go shoot him in his head!!!

5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

My goal of life is to live in such a way that noone should have ever cry because of me or because of my actions.Łukasz Klejment edytował(a) ten post dnia 12.09.08 o godzinie 10:38

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause?
yes, I tend to do that as well
I'm cheeky sometimes
one of my lost cause defences was defending Pani Ola from a massive attack of GL readers
the outcome: I lost
2. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part?
In my case it's the last cut that is the deepest.
My first love never knew I loved him and it's been typical for my love life - I always think I'm unnoticed ;)
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
It depends how close this person is to me.
Relatively easy to be offended but I'm working on it.
I don't like when somebody accuses me of bad intentions I don't have. But I don't bother to explain.

A month ago I was standing at a bus stop waiting for my bus.
A woman (40s-50s) was standing with another one and suddenly she commented on my polo shirt out loud. 'How can you wear something awful like this? This is how they spoil clothes nowadays!' It was said out loud and with disgust.
I was shocked and insulted that a sober woman dares to comment on my appearance which was very casual and standard anyway.
I felt like saying something rude to her but it was pointless.
It was as if she thought I wouldn't understand - maybe she thought she was still abroad or something.

4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
No striptease ever, but the obese sheikh... why not?
Only after we were married, of course.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?
not so sure
trying to take responsibility for my life

Questions courtesy of our man in Warsaw, Mr. Adam Lipiński!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?

Portsmouth FC were a lost cause. I started supporting them in the third division.

Then all of a sudden they became good.

Pogon Szczecin are also pretty much a lost cause.

Other lost causes would be my attempts not to smoke, drink, be addicted to the internet, so on and so forth.

I'm a lost cause myself.

2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?

Probably my first real love would have to be my first wife who I met at university. We parted acrimoniously after ten years. It killed my innocence and youth and filled me with regret.
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?

I wouldn't say I was easily offended, but I've certainly got a short fuse.

My response to insults depends on how intimidating I find the person insulting me, and I either react with anger or hold my tongue accordingly.

As most men would.

However, I am rather proud and have been known to have a go at someone in a position of authority over myself (resulting in my losing my job), or physically stronger (resulting in a black eye).

In some Nazi prison camp, or something of that nature, I'd imagine I'd be the first person to get themselves shot. (Which isn't necessarily a good thing, a more intelligent or braver person than myself would try to survive).
4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"

It's difficult to answer such a question hypothetically. Someone would have to put the money on the table and then we'll see what happens.

About taking my clothes of in public - it's not something I'd really care about. Of course it would depend on the circumstances and who would see me. But I'd probably do it for not too much money. It's not really an offer I'd be likely to get, however.

An obese Arab sheik. On first thoughts I wouldn't agree to be sodomised for any amount of money. But on reflection, why would it be any worse than having one of your teeth extracted? My doctor is always proposing to perform vile medical tests on myself, and if I am willing to agree to medical instruments being inserted, why not something different?

On the other hand you'd have to consider the man bouncing you up and down on his knee, slobbering all over you, calling you 'darling' and so on.

That's a difficult one. But let's say I was offered an unimaginably large sum for the act, one that would keep me in luxury and indolence for the rest of my life, what then?

5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

I reckon were just here to pass on our genes.

The purpose of our lives is to give our children a better start in live than we had ourselves, and hopfully have fun along the journey.

But I wouldn't say I was necessarily any good at the above.warren whitmore edytował(a) ten post dnia 13.09.08 o godzinie 00:20

1. I consider my membership and support for Unia Wolności until its last breath a commitment to a lost cause. It turned out that Poland didn't need "enlighted" leaders. So it goes, as Kurt Vonnegut would say ;P

2. My very first love totally looked like Harry Potter. We were both 6 then. Did it determine my future love pursuits? Well, I guess so - I used to be really fond of guys with well-kept fringes, thick-framed glasses, nice pullovers and angel faces for a long time :)

3. It's much easier to piss me off with particular deeds than offend with words. Just dare to make some noise at night and deprive me of my peaceful sleep... :)

4. Oh noez!!! No striptease! I'm getting so nervous when undressing in public... A night with an Arab sheikh (even an obese one, LOL) would be much more pleasant :D

5. Living like a sponge is so challenging and enriching. However, I'd like to have some baby sponges one day, too.

Questions courtesy of our man in Warsaw, Mr. Adam Lipiński!

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?
I don't drink very often because I don't have an "off" switch. I also don't have an off switch for the so-called lost cause. I need permission to quit. So yes. All the time. I'm in one now. We'll see what the outcome will be.
2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?
She was an All-American athlete, what we call the national team level of athletes. She was a blur in 200 and 100 and ther relays; a national team level soccer player. We were in high school together and beyond. It's funny. Tennis, basketball, soccer, running, these were our dates in the beginning and as we were together throughout. I would go with her on the college recruiting trips. She was brilliant and over 200 universtities were recruiting her. She was training for the Olympic trials, etc.

She went west and I stayed east. She's a physician who specializes in nuclear medicine and we're friends. I don't think it affected me in any remarkable ways...I've never had a "bad break-up."
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
I have average emotional intelligence. Hmmm the worst insult...man, it seems like all I ever get is kindness. I truly can't think of any. Anyone care to deflower me?
4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
Everyone throw a few groszy at my feet. I'll do things you never thought you'd see anyone do.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?
Have a family. I have simply had my nose pointed in a different direction. Also, to get through my levels of contemplation insofar as I am able.

1. Poles have been known for their commitment to lost causes. Have you ever found yourself defending a lost cause? What was it, and what was the ultimate outcome?
Sometimes I think running a language school is a lost cause...
2. The first time is the deepest, even for emotional surfer boys. How did you meet your first love? Who were they and how did you part? Did it determine or otherwise affect your future amorous pursuits?
I suppose it was Cecile, when I was in France during my university years. She was in my "class"; I was a language assistant for English language students. We parted when I had to leave France. I met up with her 6 months later... She's totally changed. It was totally different. It made me realise that moments of love can be fleeting.... and nothing stays the same. Ultimately, experiences like this taught me the inevitablity of change; something we have to accept.
3. Are you easily offended? What was the gravest insult you've heard and how did you handle it?
I'm easily offended by people I like. Sometimes I get angry at stangers and have a bit of a go at them.

Generally, though, I'm a nice enough guy if unprovoked.
4. Everyone has a price. Could you possibly picture youself doing public striptease or making love to an obese Arab sheikh? If yes, then answer Borat's trademark question: "How much?"
I'd strip in public for 6 figures but I doubt very much if anyone would pay!

There's no way on Earth I'd suck the sheikh's cock.

It's weird that the idea of me shagging a bloke is really not a nice thought at all, yet around half the population does this on a reasonably regular basis. I find this thought slightly disturbing.
5. Some people live in order to pass on the genes. Some people are like sponges or video cameras, collecting experiences, living their own movies. What is the ultimate goal of your life?

My ultimate goal is to have the freedom to be myself.
