You're absolutely right Warren with both. Spurs are playing rubbish in the Premiership but it's still Premiership. I think if Wisla plays today like with Beitar in the 2nd leg they will beat them (I hope so).

Sol Campbell, the Portsmouth defender who was a victim of racist and homophobic abuse at the weekend from Tottenham fans, is to become 'honourable' in a bid to beat the 'boo boys'.

Campbell, who played for Tottenham until 2001, when he left to play for their arch-rivals, Arsenal, is regarded by many Spurs fans as a 'Judas' for 'doing the dirty' on them, and signing for the Gunners after saying in an interview with Spurs Monthly that he would "never play for Arsenal".

The ex-England international had wanted Champions League football, and distracted Spurs' attention by making outrageously large wage demands.
As soon as Spurs had agreed to those demands, Campbell left for Arsenal. White Hart Lane diehards never forgave him.

Iscariot always claimed that he loved Tottenham, and said:

"I always had Spurs in me",

but some say this was a reference to a secret relationship he had at the time with one of the club's promising trainees.

Now, however, Sol has said he intends to "make things right" with Spurs fans, and has asked them for forgiveness. Now nearing the end of his career, he has said that he would like to play at White Hart Lane again before he retires. In a statement, he said:

"Tottenham fans are the best. I want to hold my hands up and tell them I did it for the money. I'd do anything for the money. Even that thing I (was alleged to have) did with that sweet young trainee."

Spurs fans weren't impressed. One, known only as Spanners, said:

"It's a bit late for all that malarkey! He should have thought about that when he turned his back on us!"

As a Pompey fan I'm with Sol Campbell.

I'd like to see a Spurs fan calling him a 'pouf' to his face, in a one on one situation.

Sol might well react the way his brother did.

This has all gone way too far.

Whatever the outcome of WC2006, its time for Sven to stand aside, and time for a younger, more talented, more PASSIONATE.... English coach to take up the mantel.

John Sitton has been out of management ever since his departure from Leyton Orient and was then publicly humiliated after the release of a documentary showing the demise of his beloved Orient. Despite the downfall beginning long before Sitton’s appointment, much of the criticism fell squarely upon his shoulders, in spite of his best efforts to turn the club round.

Sitton now ‘reportedly’ works as a Taxi Driver in outer London, his undoubted football talent wasted on a makeshift profession.

1425: Betfred make it odds-on that Joe Kinnear will erupt again in his post-match interview this weekend and unleash another verbal volley of four letter abuse.

The Warrington-based firm make him 1/3 to swear at least once following his amazing outburst in his first press conference at Newcastle's Benton training ground in which he swore a staggering 52 times.

The under-pressure boss let fly with a tirade of foul mouth abuse at reporters in a five minute rant which turned the air blue.

His side face a tough away trip to Goodison Park on Sunday in a must win game against fellow strugglers Everton and Betfred believe it's a penalty kick that Kinnear will not be able to control himself.

"Even though he has only been in the managerial hot seat for a matter of days Joe seems to have lost the plot," reckoned Betfred spokesman Dave Metcalf.

"Although he has reportedly slapped a ban on all media we believe that he won't be able to help himself saying something after his side's game against Everton and it's got to be odds on that whatever he says will contain some form of foul language."
