Does two acoustic gigs in our hometown mean that we're sick of the studio again? Nah . . . not really . . . but we are honored that we have been invited to appear at the annual Bridge School Benefit concerts. Held on October 27 and 28, 2007 at Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, CA, this will be our second time participating in the all acoustic shows, and the 21st year that the benefit has been held in the Bay Area.

As usual, the line-up is stellar and we're looking forward to seeing Tom Waits, Eddie Vedder (with Flea & Jack Irons), John Mayer, of course Neil Young, and others perform those days. Tickets are on sale this Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM and for more details, please see the official press release below. Started by Neil and Peggy Young, the Bridge School is a non-profit organization assisting individuals with severe speech and physical impairments achieve full participation in their communities and is an internationally recognized leader in the education of children who use augmentative and alternative communication. The annual benefit concerts provide the majority of the funding for the school's operation.

koncercik prędzej czy później znajdzie się na necie do zdarcia <- obstawiam naszych wschodnich sąsiadów ... ;) a tak wogóle aż jestem ciekaw czy zagrają tam coś "nowego" czyli coś z ostatnich płyt ;)

Koncert spoko, niektóre numery fajnie brzmią w takiej aranżacji, ale ma jedno zastrzeżenie. Hetfield nie umie śpiewać - to wiedzą wszyscy, ale w Only Happy When It Rains poleciał po sąsiadach równiutko! Przepraszam, ale ten kawałek mógł sobie darować mając świadomość swojej niedyspozycji.

Na szczęście nadrabia aranżacją :)

Hetfield nie umie śpiewać ale ma fajny wokal hehehe. A tak na serio to James sprawdza się w czadowych kawałkach Metallicy ale jak ma już coś kogoś innego zaśpiewać albo ma być liryczny to jest klapa. Pamiętam jak próbował śpiewać Alice In Chains na Rock Am Ring w 2006 roku (Would?). Oczywiście ciężko jest Staleya zaśpiewać bo on jednak był troszkę z innego świata ale James poległ w pierwszej rundzie. Nie zmienia to faktu, że i tak Jamesa lubię. James to James. A co do koncertu bez prądu to Metallica jakoś mi do unplugged nie pasuje. Oczywiście dadzą radę ale wolę ich podpiętych.
