Project manger for exchange and large telecommunication rooms infrastructure build.
Designing infrastructure to meet the changing requirements of theTransmission Platform and the other platforms within the Optus Technical Centres in support of the telecommunication networks growth and corporate business initiatives.

Roles

· Deployment Project Management, Solution Design, Overseeing Implementation & Commissioning, Supplier Management, Testing and Commissioning, Capacity Management, Evaluating new technologies.

Main Activities:

· Overall
Controlling and delivering major components of infrastructure Engineering projects encompassing planning, analysis, design and documentation. Providing support and capacity management of the Infrastructure ie, DSX and LGX, associated network infrastructure.

· Proposals and Business Cases
Provide require documentation and investigation

· Project Plans and Specifications
Prepare business, functional, and design specifications. This may include analysing business development requirements, systems and data, particularly in areas of difficult or critical need.

· Supplier Information and Proposals
Preparing information used for soliciting and evaluating supplier product information and/or proposals to determine suitability to proposed or planned business initiatives.

· Implementation and Integration
Enabling suppliers and/or other work groups to complete their assigned implementation and integration activities by preparing documentation

· Tier 3 Support and Consultancy
Providing Tier 3 Support and consultancy when required.

· Platform Capacity
Transforming projected business requirements into a Capacity Plan for the LGXs and DSXs. Monitoring and periodically reporting capacity and utilisation.

· New and Emerging Technology
Assist with new Cable Technologies and methodologies introduction through documenting and designing.
