Part of my professional life.

Not harder than when you are in love with a woman who is not beautiful, I guess. Men will know better.

It's obviously time to discuss things. It depends on the way their racism is manifested. If it's only a point of view which doesn't result in undertaking more or less harmful actions, I wouldn't end the friendship. I assume friendship doesn't mean the same views, and not only on one topic. Additionally, my friend could also think it's time to end our friendship because we think differently. Then it's not worth my while.
It could be different if I had a partner//kid who wouldn't be tolerated by my friend. Yes, it makes a difference.

From what I know, our brains are wired to like people that that look like we look . You have to find your mother when you're little. I don't beef with someone over who they like or avoid. I'd spend chances on people about bigotry (and I'm prone to give lectures to the point people want to jump from the roof anyways). Gotta surf some people, especially morons, and some people have to surf me.
