-Partner with operations and engineering leadership in the development of new product manufacturing recommendations, preliminary manufacturing plans and pre-production schedules
-Execute standards in existing plants (new equipment and processes)
-Lead key components of initial design review:
Finalize equipment and tooling details and needs
Develop all lines, modules, tools, dies, systems and carriers
Create and approve capital requests
Perform DFA/M analysis to improve quality and reduce costs

-Conduct pre-production build assessments:
Tooling and equipment readiness
Product/Process readiness and manufacturing feasibility

-Support creation, implementation, documentation and execution of centralized core technology standards (process, equipment, systems)
-Collaborate with packaging engineers to determine packaging needs

- Reviews new designs and makes recommendations to reduce costs and improve manufacturing and quality on new or existing parts.
- Defines requirement for tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process.
- Analyzes and evaluates manufacturing methods and standards. Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect operator safety, quality, schedule attainment and cost.
- Identifies areas of waste and leads the implementation of improvements to reduce it.
- Assists in development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Develops capital equipment studies and makes appropriate recommendations for capital expenditures including justification of the purchase and maintenance requirements once installed. - Assists in preparation of departmental budget

- Implementation of customer-specific solutions and requirements in the plant
- Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness
- Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes

- Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
