The position is accountable for the calculation and maintenance of
cost prices, together with their ongoing analysis and tracing back to underlying
activities and material usage. Main areas are: analysis of material and nonmaterial
variances, standard product cost calculation for new products, review
accuracy of master data relevant for product costing, calculation of landed price
components (COSGs+ non production overhead costs allocation), support the
business with product costing topics, support Carlsberg SC Headquarters in
consolidating and understanding their production results, preparing multinational
production benchmarking studies, participation in new product (NPD) launches
and business cases. In my day to day activities I am also supporting onsite plant
production controllers in their roles of assuring cost efficiency of production
processes in “their” plants. Under my responsibility I have 2 plants, one in
Denmark and one in UK, which are accountable for 25% of produced volume in
Western Europe for Carlsberg. As a part of CoE I am also participating in
continuous improvement of production performance analysis by building new
reports, introducing new tools (Power BI) and exploring new ways of looking on
production numbers.

Financial/Cost Controller/ Team Leader, Carlsberg IT A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark/ Carlsberg Shared Services, Poznan, Poland – After successful migration of HQ Controlling (see below) to Poland I was assigned to work as Controller for Carlsberg IT in Copenhagen - an independent entity centralizing all Carlsberg’s IT related activities in Western Europe - IT Asset/Hardware Management; License and 3rd party IT contracts; Maintenance of Applications and Group IT related Projects - approx..40-50 Projects, including huge Business Standardization Programme for Western Europe (development of standard SAP Platform together with standard business model for all WE entities). After couple months of the assignment it was decided to move financial part of the Controlling activities to Poznań. I was appointed Team Lead of new Controlling Team in Carlsberg Shared Services in Poznań and started to build own Team. Currently I am running the Team of 3 Controllers and 2 Finance Backoffice performing mix of financial and admin controlling activities from Poznań, such as: driving budget and estimate process (zero based/ bottom up OPEX/CAPEX budgeting/estimating process ending up with various presentations for Group CIO, Group Controlling VP and Group CFO; monthly closing activities (provisions/ accruals and financial compliance) ; monthly EBIT forecasting; ownership and governance of IT charge-out model; various business analyses and participation in various cost optimizing activities and Projects (Currently I am also acting as BPM for Finance in the new SAP roll-out project in Carlsberg IT), coordination of Year End closing activities and cooperation with external auditors in this respect.

It started with half year assignment where I learned and performed the full scope of admin controlling activities (Budgeting, budgets/estimate follow-up with Department’ Heads of Group Functions, cost controlling, accruals and provisions, charge-out model of HQ admin cost etc.) After half year we have moved all the controlling tasks to Carlsberg Shared Services in Poznań, initiating the process of outsourcing and centralizing of controlling processes of Carlsberg Group into Poznań Financial Centre.
