HR Officer
Bulgari Hotel & Residences, London
I have been given the opportunity to take part in the opening of the luxury hotel in London.
I joined the pre opening team and as a primary HR support I reported directly to Director of Human Resources.
Writing job descriptions and person specifications, developing HR policies and procedures was an integral part of my responsibilities during the pre- opening phase. With great focus on resourcing and 250 posts to fill, I was heavily involved in pre- opening mass recruitment and selection, working with senior stakeholders across the business and advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies. Managing the company recruitment website and coordination of the training during that period were also my duties. I was on the cross departmental team responsible for implementation of the integrated payroll and HR system - ADP freedom - and I was managing the HR part of the service.

After the opening my duties consisted of:

• Advising in a generalist capacity on all areas of HR;
• Consulting and providing guidance on issues related to employment relations and performance management;
• Recruiting and coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants;
• Establishing links with international educational partners – hospitality schools - and participating in recruitment events;
• Implementing and operating pay and benefits schemes. I also researched online benefits providers and negotiated with them to ensure the best fit between the company values and objectives and offered package;
• Deputising for DOHR at meetings as required;
• Providing operational and statistical data to the Executive Team and General Manager on a monthly basis relating to employee turnover, engagement, recruitment;
• Coaching and counselling;
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices;
• Working alongside PR and Marketing on internal communication and coordinating the company newsletter.

After promotion I took on more responsibility for resourcing and reward within the company. I liaised with recruitment agencies, assisted in recruitment process, updated company website with new opportunities. Also due to implementation of the passport scanner I had to work more closely with UK Border Agency and the company solicitor.

After completing my CPP course I was given the opportunity to join the HR team.
As an HR Administrator I was the first point of contact for HR related queries. I administered HR related documentation and was responsible for maintaining and updating the company HRIS - Snowdrop - with relevant information. I also had to ensure all employees have right to work in UK.
When my company went through major restructure I was responsible for coordination of the process and issuing all related documentation.
