Maintain and improve the CIS monthly returns process including compliance, business technical issues and subcontractor queries. Technology tasks and IT ad hoc given by the head of tax. Other activities include assistance with the monthly VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities
• Monthly CIS returns of over 120 businesses within the group and setting up new schemes for the business
• CIS queries with the business and subcontractors.
• Assisting with IT technical issues within the tax team.
Key Achievements/Projects
• The migration of Linden Homes from Oracle to COINS for CIS where bespoke solutions in Excel was used for the interim.
• Modification of the CIS process for the migration of Linden and partnerships from Galliford Try Plc to Vistry Group Plc, migrating the RPA over from Galliford Try to Vistry Group.

Responsible for financial reporting, CIS, balance sheet reporting, fixed asset book, month end reporting, process improvements, automation, macros, Excel and staff training.

• Monthly balance sheet reporting and CIS returns.
• Monthly Fixed Asset register with reconciliations
Key Achievements/Projects
• Reduced Group balance sheet variances down to under 5% and maintained this through investigating and dealing with the route courses highlighting system errors.
• Cashbook, Balance sheet and tax process improvements using automation enabling quicker turn around for month end reporting.

Key Responsibilities included supplier and cashbook reconciliations, improving the process and efficiency of the cashbooks.
