Assist with overseeing Housekeeping operations
Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities
Assist Head Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
Ensure ongoing training to support Head Housekeeper
Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
Support managing, training and developing the Front Office team
Deputise in absence of Head Housekeeper
Assist other departments wherever necessary

Prepares schedules as requested, and in accordance with forecasted occupancy, supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, to assist in the smooth running of the Housekeepeing department in the absence of the Executive Head Housekeeper,

Supervise Room Attendants, Linen porters, Floor Porters and Public Area Cleaners.
Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning
Manage guest requests
Inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards
Carry out lost property procedures
Report maintenance issues to Maintenance Department
Assist Housekeeping Manager with training requirements
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Vacuum rooms and corridors
Change and replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks

Perform routine inspections of all public areas, service areas, and storerooms
Report and follow up on any maintenance defects or other issues
Schedule and supervise deep cleaning and any other projects
Manage and train Public Area Attendants and other Team Members to ensure their performance meets the standards required
Manage, efficiently, stock control and the maintenance of equipment
Provide excellent Guest service

Ensure cleanliness of all public areas
Carry out lost property procedures
Manage customer service issues quickly and effectively
Manage master keys in his/her possession
Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks, e.g monthly deep cleaning and carpet shampooing Check public areas and toilets taking remedial action where necessary
