Deloitte Global Tax Center (Europe) - Accounting with shared services and data management skills supports local compliance activities covering 33 countries. The European Compliance Centre offers tax and statutory accounting compliance services acting as single point of contact for international clients present in multiple jurisdictions.

My responsibilities include:

• Providing statutory accounting services for EMEA countries including statutory conversion from management GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS) to local GAAP
• Preparation and filing of financial statements and additional country specific reports accordingly to requirements
• Country expertise for matters related to Polish legislation
• Project management including planning, coordination, controlling and budgeting for multinational clients
• Coaching and organizing trainings for new hired colleagues

Deloitte ACS offers integrated compliance services in the fields of accounting, VAT, corporate income tax and corporate law. By providing necessary skills and tools Deloitte helps companies stay compliant with local legislation in fast changing environment.

As part of EMEA Accounting Team I was involved in conversion of accounts from management GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS) to local accounting law and provision of financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements for a portfolio of international clients from different sectors.

My responsibilities included:

Statutory accounting:
• Conversion from management GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS) to local GAAP for EMEA countries
• Analysis of accounting treatments under management GAAP and posting adjustments to comply with local law
• Accounts analysis and posting adjustments (timing, corrections of management GAAP, reclasses for presentation purposes)
• Fixed assets analysis and reconciliations
• Preparation of financial statements for EMEA countries (in local language and English)
• Close cooperation with Deloitte network in EMEA countries

BPO:
• Preparation of monthly reporting in US GAAP and Polish GAAP (working in Polish and English)
• Accounts reconciliations on general ledger level and subledgers (debtors, creditors)
• Fixed assets accounting
• Cash forecasting
• Revenue calculation and preparation of sales invoices
• Processing accounting documents
• Preparation of VAT declarations
• Preparation of monthly CIT calculations
• Preparation and execution of payment runs
• Preparation of statistical reporting to comply with local reporting requirements
• Preparation of financial statements
