Delivery of production plans through effective management and leadership of the Shift Operations Managers
• Deputise in absence of General Manager
• Partner with peers and other key contacts throughout Distribution, Head Office and Stores
• Maximise productivity, efficiency and quality
• Responsible for defining recruitment needs to meet the business plan
• Plan and execute operational strategy, ensuring the site delivers and reporting KPIs and is able to meet and support the changing business needs
• Ensure site has effective people strategy including succession planning and team development
• Responsible for ensuring the resolution of resource, capacity and stock issues
• Work on budgeting and forecasting for both capital and revenue expenditure
• Budgetary responsibility for operational resource
• Responsible for minimising risk on site
• Set and review site Business plans

Ensure the site achieves daily production targets through effective management of First Line Managers.
• Manage, develop, appraise and support First Line Managers
• Accountable and overall responsibility for own department(s)
• Create and deliver department business plan
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
• Delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Delivery and maintain expected standards within all audits
• Define recruitment, training and succession needs to meet the business plan
• Identify shrink risks and resolve in partner with Loss Prevention (LP)
• Contribute to, plan and execute the day to day operational strategy.
• Partner with Process Improvement and Quality Department to identify opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvements in methodology, quality, consistency and effectiveness

• Responsible for the control of the workflow and organisation of Associates to ensure all KPI targets are met, if not exceeded.
• Delegate work appropriately to the Lead Associates
• Responsible for the daily/weekly planning of resource within the department as well as ensuring resources are shared across the Processing Centre appropriately
• Develop all associates through appropriate interventions, such as probationary reviews, appraisals, PDP’s and frequent and candid conversations in order to drive high performing individuals and teams.
• Adhere to performance and absence management processes

• Ensure the associate team achieve and maintain pre-set targets whilst meeting accuracy standards
• Responsibility for the daily identification and resolution of departmental operational issues
• Work with associates to ensure all are fully conversant with all department processes and procedures
• Clarify tasks with associates which they need to achieve to meet performance objectives and explain these clearly
• Participate in providing training and coaching for the department associates as a result of performance appraisals and development plans for direct reports
• Share information readily, clearly express both verbally and in writing to managers, peers and associates
• Give specific and constructive feedback to managers, peers and associates at appropriate times
• Demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels both with customers and colleagues and respond to issues quickly, positively and with integrity in a fast paced and changing environment
