• Manage and design Group treasury policies for a complex international treasury function, including debt funding; interest rate and currency risk management; and counterparty risk management,
• Implementing strategies to meet the Group’s key strategic objectives,
• Negotiate and implement bank facilities to provide funding for each CEE market to allow the achievement of the Group’s business development plans, and ensure that they are arranged on the Group’s standard documentation (bank syndications in UK and CEE markets, bilateral facilities, LMA standards),
• Secure a diversified portfolio of debt facilities, both across the banking group and between the bank and debt capital markets, with a balanced maturity profile, and with an appropriate covenant structure,
• Maintain relationships with debt providers including attending meetings to communicate the Group’s performance, business plans, and financing objectives in all CEE markets,
• Negotiate derivative documentation (ISDA agreements) for each international market to enable the Group to trade derivative products and achieve its risk management objectives,
• Assess proposals to the Group Treasury Committee to manage interest rate exposure and foreign currency exposure in each market over the medium term in a cost effective manner, to limit the income statement and balance sheet volatility,
• Assess financial institutions counterparty risk and manage that risk to preserve the capital value of funds exposed,
• Manage the centralised operational aspects of day-to-day treasury operations across the Group, including funding, hedging, cash management, compliance,
• Supervise the implementation of new operational banking agreements across the Group and ensure that local contracts do not compromise the Group debt facility agreements and covenant structures,
• Support new country research and selection by sourcing relevant information on the ability to fund and develop future operations, and establish banking relationships in new countries,
