I started working as a contractor on my 4th year of university. Most of that time I was working on number of partially related projects for a company specialized in creating scientific software for industries such as Polish National Railways, steel mills and power plants.

Exposure to: C++, Qt, custom TCP protocol, image processing, Matlab, Flex, Delphi

Summary of work:
- Main designer and developer of video application for Linux machine (2 servers responsible for handling 2 high speed cameras each + 1 server responsible for another 2 standard speed cameras). Applications were working in master-slave configuration between each other and as a slave for Windows base application. For all communicating purposes TCP has been used. Linux based application were created using Qt framework.

- Main designer of image processing part of application for a steel mill. Application it self was written in Delphi but prototyping has been done using Matlab. It was examining train wheels for hidden defects using ultrasound, while camera was used to extract region with wheel's serial number.

- Designed Delphi component for 3D visualization ultrasound measurements done in power plants of deposits in cooling pipes.

- Web application for reporting purposes created using FLEX framework. The first part is advanced user friendly wizard for selecting data from database. The second part of application allow user to create report template using drag and drop method and finally execute it with data from database.
