Hello,

I d like to ask some you some questions which are very important for me. So, 2 weeks ago I started to study my ideal ( what i had been thinking )major called "international relations". I d been thinking that it would give me good prospects for future. This major brings up things that I am interested in. I like learning foreign languages and I m into political life. My dreams started to vanish when I decided to read some posts on forums. so, could you give some advice what to do in order to "reach" a workplace connected with my major ? In my opinion if you are about to study something that fascinates you, you are a very lucky guy. If you stick at it (which shouldn't be difficult if you love it) you'll do really well and develop skills which, coupled with your enthusiasm, should appeal to an enlightened employer.
Maybe there are only a few jobs in the field - if that's what you read on the net - but if so you can still be one of the successful ones.

Go ahead and finish your education. But don't forget that there are things you can do while studying. As Joj said, internships.

During your studies, don't get stuck with one particular subject, unless you found your own niche which seems to be the brilliant idea.

You can't know what's waiting for you, unless you go forward and try different things.

Most of the times the journey itself more fun than reaching the destination.

I think my doubts appeared becouse of people s opinion which I read on the Net. Users who know nothing about this major write wrong things. Personally, I am of the opinion that this major is up-to-date and will give me knowledge to get a job. Unfortunately pesimistc information draw my atention. and couse that I really sffer from being not sure about my future. Maybe only a psychiatrist is able to help me :}

I don't think you need one, at least not in that matter ;-).
Doubts and fears are natural, especially just after a significant decision.
You will be fine.
And anyway, studies choice is not a solemn bond with the devil, you know. You may end up doing sth. completely different; who knows what life will bring. The thing important for now is what you want. Enjoy your studies and after the first year keep your eyes open to internships/ volunteer work/ contacts/ field events and news / etc. :-).

What was the aim of this statement ?

The aim of this statement was to imply that when you are a psychologist, and I am one, you read a lot of opinions about your major on the net from people who know nothing about that job and education, and God, those people are wrong about some things.

So I totally understand what you mean by
