1.VOCAL TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP. 4-DAY INTENSIVE MASTERCLASS.
Led by Anna Zubrzycki, the artistic co-director of Teatr Piesn Kozla, leading actress and M.A. Acting Course Leader.
Thursday 18 July – Sunday 21 July 2013 (sessions at 10 am – 4 pm)
Singing and musicality is the heart throb of Piesn Kozla’s work, and the performer’s path is inherently through song. By exploring our voices as individuals as well as merging them with others we embody them in our internal landscape of imagination and emotion. They become the key which opens up the internal world of character, metaphors and our relationship to the ensemble. The performer becomes a musical instrument within the symphony which is the performance.
This workshop will give participants a chance to experience this through the unique approach which Anna has created over her 30 years as a teacher and performer. It is a holistic approach to voice which coordinates it with movement, rhythm and the imaginative impulse of the individual within the context of ensemble work. Song, text and voice phenomena can be used to find new sources of creativity, as they awaken the sense of internal and external rhythm, spatial awareness and focus.
The workshop is aimed at mature performers who have already had some vocal training and for MA in Acting candidates.

2. PRESENCE THROUGH VOICE. A WORKSHOP IN MINDFULNESS-BASED ACTING TECHNIQUES.
Led by Anna Zubrzycki, the artistic co-director of Teatr Piesn Kozla, leading actress and M.A. Acting Course Leader.
Monday 22 July – Wednesday 24 July 2013 (sessions at 10 am – 4 pm)
This three-day intensive workshop will be a journey for performers to connecting deeply into the emotional and imaginative source of their singing and speaking voices. To be mindful is to know what is happening while it is happening and for a performer to be able to access their rich inner physical and emotional world, sustain the connection and allow it to inform vocal expression is the basis for building a strong and authentic presence on stage. The workshop will present simple way to develop this capacity of awareness, of experiencing each moment fully, with clarity – a natural and relaxed state, which then allows the performer to become open for joyful and creative impulses to arise freely.
The workshop will also present simple meditation and relaxation techniques which Anna has incorporated into Piesn Kozla’s holistic approach to voice which coordinates it with movement, rhythm and the imaginative impulse of the individual within the context of ensemble work.
Mindfulness-based acting training can give performers a tool to reconnect to creative processes that have been dormant or forgotten, as well as giving them a sense of their own power of their voice through a greater sense of presence here and now.
The workshop is aimed at mature performers who have already had some vocal training and for MA in Acting candidates.

3. ACTING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP. 4-DAY INTENSIVE MASTERCLASS.
Led by Grzegorz Bral, Artistic Director of Teatr Piesn Kozla.
Thursday 18 July – Sunday 21 July 2013 (sessions: 4.30 pm – 9.30 pm)
Tuesday 23 July – Friday 26 July 2013 (sessions: 4.30 pm – 9.30 pm)
Led by the artistic director of Teatr Piesn Kozla, Grzegorz Bral, this workshop will give you a practical experience of co-ordination – the fundamental training method of Teatr Piesn Kozla.
Co-ordination consists of the organic linking together and integration of voice, text, energy, imagination and movement within the individual as well as with a partner and the whole group. We explore the flow between dance and word, rhythm and sound, gesture and character. Our work focuses on imagination, energy, concentration, character and courage, while freeing the natural creativity of the performer.

This workshop is offered especially for MA in Acting candidates, professional actors and other experienced applicants.

4. MUSICALITY OF THE BODY. 4-DAY MASTERCLASS.
Led by Rafal Habel, a member of Song of the Goat Theatre since its inception.
Sunday 28 July – Wednesday 31 July 2013 (sessions: 11 am – 5pm)
This workshop focuses on awakening sensations of the actor's body in relationship to music, rhythm and spacial sensitivity. We aim to awaken organic impulses and reveal the actor's inner life, open an awareness of ensemble and space, as well as sharpen reactions to impulses and stimuli thus enlivening and awakening the entire body and voice. The 'musicality of the body' developed through this training enhances and expands our possibilities in classical theatre or in any acting context by awakening the sense of internal and external rhythm, musicality and dynamics in text and voice, response to physical impulses, spacial awareness and focus. This session (suitable for all performing artists, professionals and students) is a unique opportunity to investigate how the body, voice and imagination can be used to find new sources of creativity. Led by Rafał Habel, actor and musician, who has been a member of Teatr Piesn Kozla since its inception.
