Mongolia International Capital Corporation, MICC, was established in August 2005 as the first investment banking firm in Mongolia on the base of the Investment Banking Unit of Anod Bank and in cooperation with The Balloch Group. The Investment Banking Unit of Anod Bank started its operation in 2004, making Anod Bank the only financial institution to offer financial advisory and underwriting services in Mongolia. Soon after its inception, the Anod Investment Banking Unit established a strategic partnership with The Balloch Group, an investment and financial advisory firm based in Toronto and Beijing. After working on a number of financial advisory mandates, Anod Bank and The Balloch Group decided to take their partnership to the next level and set up an independent financial advisory firm headquartered in Ulaanbaatar. In May 2007, Bodi International LLC and the Euro-China group invested in MICC. Bodi International is a major holding company for a number osf businesses in Mongolia, including leading domestic financial institutions. Euro-China Group is a Switzerland-based investment firm with operations throughout Asia and Europe.

MICC has been licensed by the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia to act as a financial advisor and underwriter for the listing of securities on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. MICC is also a licensed broker and has a seat on the Exchange.
