- checking vendor history, purchase order numbers, monitoring vendor accounts

- controlling the current issues related to forwarding (contact with foreign customers and carriers),
- planning, organizing and supervising the work of employees of the forwarding,
- negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs,
- arranging routes and schedules, and confirming the details with carriers,
- booking cargo space with carriers,
- negotiating rates,
- calculating weight, volume, transit times and cost of goods to be moved,
- maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey,
- utilizing e-commerce, internet technology and satellite systems to enable real-time tracking of goods,
- maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, or other factors that could affect freight shipping,
- clearing goods through customs and arranging for any duties or taxes to be paid,
- the inclusion of a small parcel shipment to collective shipment,
- carrying out general administrative tasks.
