My main role in Innova consisted in responsibility for financial and management reporting, treasury management and tax structuring for all active funds managed by the Innova Group as well as companies in which the Innova funds are invested.

Description of my duties and responsibilities:
- Management reporting to investors for three main funds;
- Quarterly assessment of portfolio investments’ valuations;
- Supervision over production of funds’ quarterly and yearly audited financial statements;
- Implementation of improvements to the quality of reporting;
- Ensuring compliance of funds’ reporting with EVCA and ILPA reporting guidelines;
- Monthly controlling process for portfolio companies (9 companies in the portfolio representing different sectors ranging from financial services, banking, construction, telecommunication, electrical engineering, production of sanitaryware to healthcare);
- Short, mid and long term fund treasury planning and management, creation and maintenance of fund treasury models;
- Participation in setting up, maintenance and liquidation of legal and tax structures used for portfolio companies; supervision over correct translation of tax/legal advice into the numbers at the level of both holding companies and the funds; supervision over statutory reporting of all holding companies;
- Cooperation with the Management and the finance staff of portfolio companies;
- Cooperation with domestic and foreign accounting providers, administrators, lawyers, tax advisors and auditors.

My duties included:
- Debt planning for the whole EM&F Group along with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes. Strategic analysis for the Management on consolidated cash flow, net debt and the Group financing needs over existing credit lines;
- Improvements to the quality and accuracy of Group liquidity management: cash optimization, monitoring of working capital, assignment of limits and targets for different sources of funding for all Group companies; ensuring optimal distribution and usage of the available financing within the Group, supervision over realisation of net debt targets;
- Tracking of bank covenants’ compliance at consolidated level; strategic review of covenants embedded into new financing agreements prior to their signing; ongoing communication with the banks related to obligations arising from bank loan agreements;
- Consolidated statutory reporting of the EMF Group: preparation of the consolidated financial statements for WSE, verification of accuracy of stand-alone packages submitted by all companies;
- Monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for the holding company, supervision over financial performance of the holding company;
- Monitoring of the companies’ reporting toward compliance with the Group accounting policy and IFRS;
- Support the Management in the negotiations of the finance agreements, analysis of the agreements to be signed toward IFRS and Group accounting policy compliance;
- Contacts with the auditor;
- Close cooperation with the Management and the finance staff of all operating companies on an ongoing basis (more than 30 companies grouped into 5 subgroups). Giving coaching/trainings to finance staff of the operating companies.

My duties included:
- Consolidated management reporting of actuals, budgets, forecasts and strategic plans: consolidation of the management accounts, presentations for the Management on the financial performance of Group companies and the whole Group;
- Monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for the holding company, comprehensive analysis and supervision of performance; improvements to the quality and accuracy of reporting and planning;
- Supervision over Empik subgroup financial performance and reporting, participation in monthly management review meetings, direct cooperation with the Management and the finance staff of the company;
- Debt planning for the whole EMF Group along with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes, tracking of bank covenants compliance at consolidated level;
- Weekly Group cash summary for the Management with conclusions on net debt targets’ realisation by the Group companies;
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency of data submitted by the Group companies within the monthly reporting and planning processes;
- Preparing the consolidated long term models for banks;
- Ad hoc studies and analysis, supporting the investment process;
- Cooperation with the Management and the finance staff of all operating companies on an ongoing basis.

Main responsibilities were as follows:
- Supervision over audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with Polish statutory and international financial reporting standards (including financial statements of companies listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange) of many international and domestic clients;
- Involvement in numerous projects including statutory audits, financial reviews and agreed upon procedures;
- Planning audit engagements, supervision over execution of the audit fieldwork, risk assessment, identifying audit, accounting and reporting issues, evaluation of the design and implementation of internal controls in audited companies;
- Supervising the fieldwork of 1-5 professionals on projects, giving coaching to junior and mid-level personnel;
- Ongoing measurement of staff productivity and utilization, participation in performance review meetings.

My duties included:
- research: market/company analysis,
- preparing financial data for the companies’ valuation,
- preparation of presentations (strategic and financial context) for a variety of projects.
