On the top of the leadership duties described in Team Leader position below I am now involved in:
• Leading a team of 9 including 2 team leaders
• Giving the support to the team in providing and interpreting financial information;
• Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;
• Managing a team’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
• Taking part in decission making process in relation to the team and services provided by the

• Preparation of month end journals, including accruals, revaluations, equity investment movements and recharges – General Ledger activities
• Perform initial sign-off and resolve Home Office inquiries on trial balance and monthly Management Pack
• Provision of subject matter expertise to complex accounting projects and specialized tasks where the higher level of technical accounting knowledge is required
• Manage title and product reporting (Marketing)
• Conduct performance reviews to assess Balance Sheet risk and conduct Balance Sheet reporting
• Review and approve overhead reporting, local management accounts and variance analysis, and provide Balance Sheet and P&L oversight
• Assist in development of marketing budgets and forecasts with business and operational management
• Work with corporate and indirect tax teams, internal and external audit and resolve audit findings
• Provide ad hoc decision support
• Provide finance skills to Strategic and Business Development Decisions

•As the only accountant in the company responsible for all accounting/bookkeeping including cashing up analysis, sales and purchase ledgers, petty cash, Vat returns, etc.

•Day-to-day bookkeeping for several property subsidiaries including VAT returns, forecast and actual cashflows, calculations and rec. of service charges, bank reconciliations, credit card analysis, petty cash analysis,using Sage Line 50 v14
•Preparation of year end accounts to the stage ready for audit, accruals, prepayments and journals
•Accounts payable and receivable duties,
•Debtors and creditors analysis on on-going basis, JV profit analysis and other at hoc analysis,
•Fulfilling Companies House requirements such as Annual Returns and preparing annual financial statements, setting up and striking off companies, changing year end dates, etc.
•VAT Registrations, deregistration and returns, Option to tax registrations
•Correspondence with HMRC i.e. Payroll, VAT , Corporation Tax,
•Construction Industry Scheme Registrations and CIS monthly returns,
•Controlling bank debts and current money position of several subsidiaries, liaising with banks, negotiating the best loan/interest conditions, etc.

•Working according to local regulatory requirements (UK GAAP and IFRS)

•Dealing with international VAT reclaim, working with purchase ledgers and expenses,
•Getting wide knowledge of tax systems in all countries of European Union,
•Compliance audit of confidential documents with European tax legislation and National Tax Authorities requirements, writing post-audit reports,
•Providing VAT auditing services for some of the top multinational corporations (Paribas Bank, ABM Amro, IBM, Motorola, etc.)
•Leading a team up to 8 members while performing an audit on clients’ premises

• Participating in Follow-up of In-depth Audit of Directorate General (DG) of Agriculture,
•Working on Internal Control Standards part of audit of DG Fisheries
•Worked on Compliance Audit of Structural Funds in DG FISH,
•Participated in a few trainings such as COSO standards, Risk Assessment Workshop, Commission Accounting Rules
