Product Line Purchasing Leader

Your role:

• Ongoing program support during lifetime
  
• Coordinated with related project team members to ensure flawless program execution relative to supplier topics (e.g. change management, launch coordination)
  
• Drive all supplier/material cost related activities throughout all project phases
  
• Coordination of purchasing process for new parts/products with Engineering and Quality according to supply chain management  rules & procedures
  
• Provide purchased parts cost estimation and/or price information
  
• Work with Project Teams, Customer Business Unit, Business Pursuit and the Supply Chain team to help to win new businesses by supporting additional cost savings as requested
  
• Identify synergy effects for new programs (Link & Leverage) and coordinate their implementation with the respective Material Cost Manager and Category
  
• Ensure material cost of its project are achieved and in line with CBU cost model/Cash Flow
  
• Lead Development Partner selection together with the Category Buyer, Quality and Engineering
  
• Provide engineering with sources that may contribute technical expertise and/or products for concept alternatives
  
• Lead/support all discussions between potential suppliers and Engineering and act as the language interface for Supply Chan Management for internal and external communications

Essential requirements:

• Min 3 years in Purchasing/Engineering/Supplier Quality departments in the Automotive Industry
  
• Understanding/experience of/with industrial mass production processes
  
• Knowledge and/or understanding of Product Development Processes, at best for automotive industry
  
• Knowledge of procurement processes and tools/methodologies
  
• Familiar with automotive processes (ISO TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, product development, …)
  
• Good cost understanding and capability for cost analytics
  
• Good planning skills and/or competencies in program management
  
• Disciplined and accurate/structured working style
  
• Capability to profoundly use MS Office Software
  
• Fluent in English (speak, read and write)
  
• Additional language skills (German, Italian, French) is an advantage
