and Communications Manager

Responsible for supply chain management learning, development and communications globally, supporting ABB’s 3,000+ SCM professionals worldwide.

Tasks:

  • Maintain and enhance the SCM training program, together with internal and external training providers
  • Manage the SCM knowledge mapping and functional competency assessment processes
  • Maintain SCM training platform on ABB University and on SCM Sharepoint
  • Prepare and update SCM training catalogue
  • Drive continuous improvement in all training programs
  • Manage and develop SEP (SCM Excellence Program), in coordination with internal and external training institutes
  • Evaluate and communicate with external training partners, maintain a sufficient supplier pool on different training demand
  • Analyze the training needs of SCM organization, provide training concept to the respective organizational group on request
  • Administer the Global Trainee Program (GTP) for SCM
  • Define and maintain standard job profiles for SCM
  • Maintain and enhance the SCM competency model, and assure ongoing linkage to standard job profiles and training and development programs
  • Administer the Institute for Supply Management CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification process
  • Provide regular reporting on organizational utilization of training programs worldwide, working with low-utilization units to develop more up-take in SCM training offerings
  • Manage the global SCM training budget, closely monitoring expense (from external service providers) and revenue (from internal back-charges for training services)

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Economics, Human Resources or other relevant field
  • Ideally at least 7-8 years experience in procurement and logistics area in international environment
  • Ideally some experiences in organizing training and/ or leading workshops
  • Process oriented, and customer satisfaction mindset
  • Structured and organized working approach, willing and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and sufficient problem solving skills
  • Creative, self-initiative, willingness to learn
  • Willing to work under time pressure and flexible with travelling
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills; additional languages are a plus


Preferred location of this role is either Cracow, Poland or Zurich, Switzerland.
