Our client is a global and fast-growing company from Engineering sector, leader in its category. The company is currently expanding its operations in Europe and looking for the candidates for Sourcing/Buyer Engineer. The position is home based.

Sourcing/Buyer Engineer (home office based)

• actively participate to the definition of the needs,
• solicit offers from suppliers and analyze proposals,
• negotiate with suppliers the key terms such costs, lead-time, contractual terms while ensure compliance with technical industry requirements,
• prepare the analysis of the offers and participate to the selection of the suppliers,
• manage potential claims with suppliers,
• identify and obtain cost improvement of purchased materials and services through negotiation and process improvements,
• apply processes and procedures to continuous improvement.

• supplier identification: identify new potential vendors located in Eastern Europe for the Company Business,
• supplier relationships: develop the relationships with vendor and act as a facilitator,
• supplier negotiation: deal with the commercial item with supplier and negotiating price (RFQ-Process, commercial & contractual bid evaluation.

• +7 years of experience in a supply chain organization,
• experience as Project buyer (Supply Chain degree),
• has ideally work in the technical, aerospace, mechanical engineering or Oil & Gas industry as a buyer,
• has ideally a technical background for mechanical component procurement,
• fluent in English (TOEIC 850 or equivalent), professional language skill in German will be appreciated,
• willing to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development.
