Financial Controller

For Our client - major multinational production and distribution company with growing business in Poland – we are looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Financial Controller in Warsaw.

The Controller is the primary financial resource and business partner to commercial and management. The Controller have overall leadership responsibility for all financial reporting for the commercial, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, inventory control, fixed asset accounting, internal controls and cost accounting. The Controller participate actively in divisional strategic planning and serve as a business partner with site leadership.

The Controller will be responsible for controlling the budget and processes of the relevant business unit. Executing the delivery of specific elements of budgets and financial accounts. Providing and maintaing the models for the management information reporting; Assisting managers to improve their performance, working with them to provide suitable financial indicators. Other finance related admin co-ordination activities. Checking the completeness of the information in the relevant systems. Maintaing master data in Microsoft Dynamics AX (cost centers, accounts, statistical key figures, etc.), planning systems and other controlling systems and ensuring quality. Identifying financial issues and the drivers behind them, supporting counter-measures definition and tracking achievement. Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant internal customers. Leading initiatives to enhance system-related reporting functions and capabilities within the ERP system, thus improving the visibility and consistency of financial reporting. Developing calculation methods and monitoring systems. Contributing to development, analysis and steering of KPIs and KPI reporting. Assistance in process steering and documentation, process and compliance audit. Supporting business by providing accurate product calculations. Continuous improvement of controlling processes. Ensuring that all corporate guidelines are implemented.

The candidate must have the master degree in an accounting or finance discipline. Minimum 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience preferably in an international business environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Access. Fluent or very good in English. Ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities. Analytical and critical thinking. Self-starting with good organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
