Najczęściej pojawiające się dziedziny tematyczne na speakingu, na wszystkich poziomach to: People, The home, Education, Work, Family + Social Life, Food / Nutrition, Travel + Tourism, Culture, Sport, Health, Science + Technology oraz Nature.

Poniżej przedstawię 3 z nich opracowane na poziomie Proficiency, nie są one jednak na tyle trudne aby kandydaci z poziomu FCE czy CAE nie dali sobie z nimi rady ;)

EDUCATION

Infant school – żłobek
Nurse school – przedszkole
Foundation class – zerówka – 1 year
Primary school – podstawówka – 6 years
Junior high school – gimnazjum – 3 years
Senior high school – liceum – 3 years

Technical school - relating to the knowledge and methods of a particular subject or job
Vocational school - providing skills and education that prepare you for a job
Specialist school - experience, knowledge or skill in a particular subject (np. szkoła muzyczna)
University - a college or collection of colleges at which people study for a degree
College - any place for specialized education after the age of 16 where people study or train to get knowledge and/or skills

Private school in Polish - Public school in English
Boarding school - students learn and live there
Co-educational school - for boys and girls
Hall of residence - akademik

Core curriculum – list of subjects that you must learn at school
Extra curriculum activities – additional activities after lessons

Literate – someone is able to read and write
Numerate – someone is able to count

Scholarship – money that you can win because you are a very good student
Fee – money that you must pay for school
Grant – money which are given to every student

Degree - a course of study at a college or university, or the qualification given to a student who has completed this
Certificate - the qualification that you receive when you are successful in an exam

University - a college or collection of colleges at which people study for a degree
Polytechnic - a college where students study for degrees, especially in technical subjects, or train for particular types of work

Lecturer - someone who teaches at a college or university
Teacher - someone whose job is to teach in a school or college

WORK

Profession - any type of work which needs special training or a particular skill, often one which is respected because it involves a high level of education
Occupation - a person's job
Job - the regular work which a person does to earn money
Vocation - a type of work that you feel you are suited to doing and to which you should give all your time and energy, or the feeling of suitability itself
Work organisation -

Tour Operator – big agencies: TUI, Neckerman, Scan Holiday
Travel Agent – small agencies which collect offers from Tour Operators

REMUNERATION: (payment for work or service)
- payment in kind – w naturze
- wage - a fixed amount of money that is paid, usually every week, to an employee, especially one who does work that needs physical skills or strength, rather than a job needing a college education
