I'm missing my home country more and more.The most obvious thing is understanding and being understood without any effort.
Then of course there's British T.V..
The countryside.
Real pubs, although there's fewer and fewer of them left in the U.K..
Indian restaurants.
Spices for Asian cuisine.
H.P. sauce. Proper bacon. Proper fish 'n' chips. British sausages.
Tides.
Civilised driving habits such as stopping at zebra cossings.
Courtesy to strangers.
Being called 'mate'.

Salt and vinegar crisps: the world's greatest flavour which seems only to be appreciated by the British.Real fish and chips.
Bread. I don't mean the spongy variety, but the real stuff from a baker's. The wholemeal stuff. It's softer than Polish bread, which I find too dry on the whole.
Variety of fish from the fishmongers. Not just the standard 5 varieties you get here plus inedible lake fish such as carp.

No idea. But this is what I miss from the UK. I used to devour these small packages of salt and vinegar crisps when on visit there.
I'm getting nostalgic now...

What I hate about Poland is that there is never vinegar in restaurants. I am pretty addicted to vinegar - I put it in soup, salads...everything.
