For me it's extremely private information, something like your weight, number of partners or cosmetic surgeries....

Why not? It's rubbish anyway. Just look at Doda and her allegedly high IQ.

Besides I think it's EQ that counts more and more now.

for me it is as well...however, I have only taken an iq test on the net, didn't make it to mensa but I'm all right...won't tell you the score tough:)

what do you think of people who mention their Mensa membership?

I don't get this EQ anyway.

I see them ever day clinically and I can value them as a baseline in the business of helping people get better. But outside of that you realize that there are many different types of intelligence. I can juggle, but I have poor expressive language skills, for example.

I dont mind listening to anyone who wants to state what they learned about their own on any given test. It's fun.

I have taken all the tests we have in free time. We all do. My own...ech I keep it to myself. But to give you an idea, think of a cow :)))

Like if somebody casually mentions his membership in the Association of Tall People... It's only a feature, no work really.

I took an IQ test, and they weren't able to tell me what the result was. I think they also burnt all of the documents attached to it. Maybe they wanted to protect me from creepy scientists' researches. So that's why, I can not tell it to you. I wish I could. Because I believe it was almost 138 or something like that. When I was 5.

People who regularly do puzzles score higher on IQ tests - they're a test of learned intelligence.

I used to see them in my work, but never figured why someone with an IQ of 30 can lead a functional life, have some sort of work, can make a meal, and some other people with an IQ of 60 can't.

Poland, in it's healthcare services, tend to use the Wechsler test. Much more complicated to administer and takes much longer, but gives a more accurate score (for those who need such scores as tools) and better represents real ability.

And by the way, what is the point of joining MENSA? Do members get discounts or something?

I've taken an IQ test twice. First time I was "kindly" asked to by my teacher. I was 12, maybe 13. Never learned the score - I must've failed it miserably (as if you could ever fail an IQ test - even Forrest G. passed it).

The second time I was a young adult. I passed it that time.

I've never taken any EQ tests but I have a strong sensation I'd do a lot better that in IQ. Just a gut feeling.
