After looking over all five pages of discussion, I compiled 10 new, universally agreed upon Polish false friends that speakers of English ought to be wary of....oferta = a bargain; an offer
komunikacja = public transport; communication (e.g. verbal)
promocja = a sale; promotion (i.e. marketing)
konsekwentny = consistent
aktualny = current
baton = candy-bar
ewentualnie = maybe
lunatyk = sleep walker
radiowóz = a police wagon
apartament = luxurious and spacious apartment, penthouse
Is there anything anyone wants to add?
By the way, this made an average of 2 words per page. Not exactly a very focused discussion....

I think 'a bargain' is more like 'okazja', 'okazyjna cena' in PL

I know exactly what you mean.
It's like the word "cooperation"... people seem to always use it in Poland, but you never here it used in the US. Same with "offer".
