We’re happy to announce the availability of a new tech brief from world-renowned development guru Steven Feuerstein and Quest product manager Daniel Norwood. It’s called “Why Every Java Developer Should Also Know and Use Oracle PL/SQL,” and it reveals why Java isn’t always the best solution for your environment, particularly when you’re dealing with Oracle as the back-end database.
Steven and Daniel point out some cool benefits of learning PL/SQL, including increased job security. Because of market pressures and evolving programming technology, hiring managers are looking for developers with a broader range of expertise.
Another bonus? Well, as Steven and Daniel explain, PL/SQL is much more intuitive and easier to maintain than the syntax for manipulating SQL statements in JDBC. And that’s not all.
