Temat: How about woman leaders?

Looking up our discussions (and generally searching web in leadership topics) I was amazed by fact of vast majority of people pointing on man as great leaders.

But in Europe we have got Angela Merkel instead of Gerhard Schroeder, in States Condoleeza Rice stands for global politics, here in Poland Zyta Gilowska is changing public finance...

don't forget of Eleanor Roosevelt's tough yet warm attitude, Nancy Reagan's support, Margaret Thatcher's steel rules...

So the question appears - what do you think of women leadership? How it may differ from men's?

that it is as great as men's...
How it may differ from men's?

such discussion might not bring about a peaceful settlement. I would rather focus on developing an androgyne attitude ;)

Well, I think it's certainly different. Women ARE different than men and so is their way to lead. Certainly it generally depands on WHO you are. I'm not really happy to meet woman who want to show that family, children and households don't mean anything to them and focus only on careers.

So leading women are certainly more emotional. Is it good??

Temat: How about woman leaders?

Leadership is, in a broad sense, the ability to influence other people. When we talk to day about „leadership“ and „leaders“ too often we limit our thinking to business or political leaders. But there are individuals, who can influence others, and have noting to do with politics or business. Just think of Mother Theresa or Lady Di …. how many people did they influence? A lot!

Looking at any area of professional or social life we see men and women, tall and short people, skinny and fat, people of different skin colors and ethnicities …. all of this is not important, or at least should not be. We should value only the skill of the person, here the leadership skill.
