Chief Accountant

Your new company
On behalf of our Client, a global SSC newly established in Gdańsk, we are currently seeking Candidate for the position of Chief Accountant. 

Your new role
Holding the position of Chief Accountant you will be expected to provide general accounting services including GL accounting, closing, trial balance production, ensuring that the Shared Service Centre's accounting is handled according to Polish accounting standards including reporting to tax offices and other governmental institution and reporting on a timely manner and in accordance with quality standards. Moreover you will need to prepare monthly VAT reports and other statutory reports to governmental institutions and ensure that daily operations are carried out according to set targets as well as identify potential process improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have a University degree (educational background in accounting/economic is an asset), or secondary education degree. Adequate understandings of SAP environment, as well as experience with Polish accountancy are a must. Good communication skills in English are required. The ideal Candidate will be in addition structured, analytical and pragmatic person with strong service orientation and proactive attitude.
