Manual software QA

Responsibilities:

Purpose of this position is to assist the QA lead with testing and documentation of the applications produced by company´ software team, ensuring that high-quality releases are delivered to users.

Responsibilites:

• writing and maintaining new and existing manual test cases in both Test Manager and Excel
• creating test cases from requirements and specifications documents
• writing and maintaining automated test scripts using Test Manager/Coded UI
• performing both functional and non-functional testing
• contributing to the maintenance of documentation such as user guides and release notes in Word and RoboHelp
• making a contribution to all testing phases, including system, alpha and UAT, including working directly with end users
• creating and maintaining test environments, using Microsoft Lab Manager
• work with the QA lead to improve testing processes and methodologies

Requirements:

•  2+ years in a similar role
• strong manual testing skills, including writing tests from requirements/specifications
• ISEB/ISTQB certificate in software testing
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• willingness to travel to user sites
• experience of automated testing tools, especially CodedUI
• experience of testing mobile apps on tablets or other handheld devices
• experience of ERP systems, such as SAP
• degree in a related discipline, e.g. Computer Studies
• experience of writing documentation for end users in Word and/or RoboHelp
