As a Product Marketing Presentation Specialist, this individual will be part of Franklin Templeton’s Global Product Marketing group. Responsibilities for the team include development, management and optimization of the array of marketing materials needed to support all lines of business across all regions globally and across the firm’s spectrum of investment products.

In particular, this role will have a focus on supporting presentation requests.  This typically involves organizing and planning for presentations needed for large seminars or due diligence meeting events or other type of large client meeting or conference-type events.  These are very high profile presentations given the audience and the potential to make an impression for the target to invest or remain invested with us.  This position is responsible for ensuring that the presentations we support are of the highest quality in regards to the data and product content and are laid out in a compelling and engaging manner both in terms of the design approach and the framing of content to tell a story.  The target audience for these presentations typically includes institutional clients and prospects, gatekeepers, and consultants as well as retail financial advisors or their gatekeepers. This position will work closely with other teams within the Global Product Marketing organization, as well as key marketing partners, including Portfolio Managers and Product Managers, to provide integrated strategic and tactical product marketing support and assist with developing and enhancing high quality materials.

Strong, ongoing communication  and relationship building skills are required across the firm’s cross functional teams, including sales/marketing professionals, product management and portfolio proxy teams, marketing support areas, and other internal business partners to deliver materials in an accurate and timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong project management and presentation skills and can leverage their knowledge of our products and business to help add value to the content and the interactions with internal partners.  Managing and maintaining presentation content to reflect the latest data or product updates will be an important part of the job.  This role must ensure compliance with firm principles and standards, local regulatory requirements, and implementation of marketing and presentation best practices.  Other responsibilities may include supporting product marketing communication projects from time-to-time as capacity and priorities dictate.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–5  years’ experience in investment product marketing communication or presentation specialist role
  • Asset management industry experience critical, including experience with multiple lines of business (retail, institutional, retirement, etc.)
  • Knowledge of investments, regulatory and industry rules, guidelines, and standards preferable (FSA, SEC, FINRA, GIPS)
  • Experience with supporting marketing initiatives, including:
    • Management of prospecting and servicing marketing materials (e.g., sales presentation pitch books, product profiles/fact sheets) and oversight of ongoing production
    • Ability to write for institutional level audiences as well as various communication mediums (e.g., print, Web) to ensure consistent messaging and branding
    • Management of compliance oversight and coordination to ensure all materials adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls in place
  • Strong verbal and written skills (primarily English), including the ability to tell a story through marketing communications or presentations
  • Ability to Work independently and under general/remote supervision and reporting lines
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Effective interpersonal skills, proficiency at prioritization, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, and the ability to operate under tight deadlines
  • Solve problems of moderate scope and complexity, refers to policies and practices for guidance
  • Flexible and able to succeed in an autonomous, dynamic, and cross- functional team
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in economics, business or marketing
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills required
