Responsibilities:

Responsibility for strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts;
Management of supply base to include renewal of agreements and assisting suppliers in problem solving and tracking corrective actions;
Conducting supplier assessments for potential new suppliers;
Gathering and analysis of supplier data to prepare analysis and recommendation for supplier selection, with focus on sourcing in low-cost countries;
Work with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans and metrics to monitor performance;
Develops and execution of sourcing strategies and prepares monthly reports to track and show sourcing strategy and progress, including achievement of spend reduction targets;
Interface with internal customers on critical supplier issues as necessary;
Participation, as needed, on TRW Teams and effectively interact with other Purchasing employees, TRW departments and/or manufacturing plant personnel;
Presentation of research, decisions, etc., as required, to next-level or executive management;
This position will also require some travel, globally or regionally depending on assigned supply base.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree;
Fluent English;
Minimum of 3 years experience within automotive direct purchasing,
Demonstrated performance in working cross-functionally and/or within a matrixed organization and working independently to obtain results;
Manufacturing and/or Automotive work experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
Excellent verbal and written communication including preparing and delivering presentations;
Six Sigma certification or similar continuous improvement training/certification highly desired.
