Our Client is an international, well known engineering company in power sector. Due to their growth we are looking for Site Construction Advisor with experience in commissioning of turbine generators.

Site Construction Advisor

Role:

Job briefing at home base according to preparation/feedback checklist and project specific requirements.
Provides technical advice and assures assistance to Customer and/or erection personnel.
Organizing and planning of erection activities related to the equipment (no time based schedule obligations).
Ensure works are being coordinated and scheduled in a manner that optimizes the completion of the turn over packages for commissioning.
System walk-downs according to specifications.
Management of all variances, deviations, non-conformances, extra works, claims and non-budgeted costs in order to minimize the cost impact
Participates in site meetings by arrangement with the Project Manager.
Handling & identifying of equipment, materials, instruments and tools according instructions; required to execute the works within the discipline.
Availability of necessary erection documentation, tools and special equipment.
Ensure any accident or incidents are communicated to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
Adherence to local safety legislation, customer defined site rules, environmental protection measures and the project health and safety plan.
Right for objection to stop work on non compliance of given instructions/procedures, or when staff or material are endangered on grounds of an EHS related issue.
Assures works are executed in compliance to regulations.
Documentation and procedures associated with the equipment are issued at site.
Provides expertise and experience in compliance with quality and equipment/system specifications.
Ensure that commercial and technical deviations are reported with a corresponding non-conformance report (NCR) and that the same are followed up until their completion
The creation of quality and as-built (red-correx) documentation within the scope of the discipline works. (Example: I&T-plans, test certificates, tables of settings and adjustments, checklists of wiring and signal loop tests and reportsof construction tests to be issued and approved by Customer and/or erection personnel.
Provide statistical, administrative and financial feedback to the Construction & Commissioning Manager and Project Manager.
Check the time sheets of the personnel assigned to him and forward the same to the Construction & Commissioning Manager.

Requirements:

Diploma or certificate in a technical discipline
Appropriate formal internal training in power plant construction and engineering
EHS training courses level I & II
Language English fluent
Two to four years experience in site construction execution
General knowledge of power plant systems
Thorough knowledge within the discipline
Negotiation skills
Willing to take responsibility
Quick and optimal decision making
Active and positive in solving problems
Motivating and well-aimed promotion of ideas and concepts
Exhibits common sense, is respectful and loyal
Communication skills
Open minded & team-oriented
Flexible approach
Experienced in using MS Office.
