Obowiązki:: • maintenance of infrastructure IT, especially Linux systems running application servers, databases engines, high-volume mailservers and proxies, web services, firewalls and other WN-developed systems
• administer local area network consisting of VMware clusters hosting dozens of virtual machines with multiple network devices and pieces of storage connected
• implementing advanced network, system and environmental monitoring ranging from low-level device health checks, through every snmp-aware device (routers, switches, PBX boxes, UPSes, printers) and overall server/device usage to in-depth monitoring of running applications and custom crafted checks for various devices (i.e. usage of VMware API) with several possible ways of escalations
• providing a multiple sets of tools to collect, store and analyze the logs from everything above
• currently focused on implementing SELinux policies and rewriting configuration files into flexible Puppet modules

• single person responsible for every aspect of ART.PL domain; subdomain registry (8000 domains at the time)
• keeping an eye at biggest nation-wide WWW proxy in Poland (part of global W3cache project started in mid 90s), abuse incidents
• IPV6 – co-administrator of 6bone.pl (ICM's self-made tunnel-broker), deployment of SixXS node (PoP), IP range assignment for Warsaw University units
• various network services for community: including IRC (warszawa.irc.pl, part of IRCNet Network), jabber, audio streaming servers and FTP/mirrors
• operational support for Numerical Weather Forecast teams and processing

• Unix administering – 50-60 servers running Linux/Solaris/*BSD in LAN/DMZ areas aside with administrative support for over 100 workstations with Linux/Solaris/IRIX onboard
• VPN access / SSL cert management
• virtualization (Xen)
