KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical expertise and support on switch upgrades and projects that impact the requirements of the network
• Resolves technical faults on the network and liases with technical solutions teams in the vendor community, acts as an internal expert
• To provide technical expertise and support on proxy and firewall services including lOS zone-based firewall control and GRE tunnels; acts as an internal expert including detail (re)designs based upon customer-provided requirements
• Deals with technical support and escalated support issues including proposals to ensure systems availability to customers
• Deploys and supports IT infrastructure, systems and application software, network services to both internal and external customers
• Responsibility to commission and configure networks
• Problem diagnosis/resolution and testing, integrating and managing components and models
• Responsibility for support contracts, e.g. managing the supplier base to ensure delivery against contractual and commercial commitments, manage the „in-life" contract supplier performance, working with technical experts to define contractual performance requirements, maximize business benefits through commercial/performance framework, working with colleagues across the business to define the strategic direction for supplier support
• Responsible for generating new opportunities and maintaining the client relationship/satisfaction
• Evaluation/test/installation of Supplier Software with appropriate controls and standards
• Execute security updates as approved by the client

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Provide day-to-day operational service and support for defined network services
• Support third party network vendors in the installation, configuration, delivery, maintenance and monitoring of network components and services, in accordance with defined roadmaps, strategies, policies and standards
