Basically it was for making a wise-crack about the mysterious RA, (posting under the name of Aneta Bereda).

Grażyna asked me to apologise to 'Aneta', I refused, so I was banned.

Anyone who knows the history of RA's postings can see that it would be ridiculous to ask me to apologise to him/her.

Anyway, that's all water under the bridge.

I'm free to concentrate on 'Anglosphere' which I aim to make the best English forum on goldenline.

Before I was banned I had an interesting, frank and useful dialogue with Lidia. I believe some regard my persona as 'scary'.

I will do my best to make this forum as user friendly as possible.

To do so, it would be helpful to have more threads started by Poles on 'Anglosphere'.

Idealy, this forum should be a place where native speakers and Poles can meet and debate on equal terms.

If anyone has any constructive suggestions on improving the forum, please post them here or send me a p.m..

Btw, thanks Wendy and Steve, (and for that mater Lidia and Jarek) for your support, but this isn't some kind of tragedy for me.

I think it's wrong, but at the same time, not all that important.

It merely encourages me to improve anglosphere.

Good to see you back in here, alive and kicking :)

Things went a tad too far, some say they got hurt, some say they got offended, others got mad. Like in the real life. Which is good - means that GL is not another virtual creation.

Now that we've all blown steam it time to get back to the most important issue of all:

Anyway, here's my final word on the subject.

Mr R A Whipple (Aneta) is a very odd person for Grażyna to defend.

And here's what s/he wrote elsewhere:

I love the idea of Poles keeping up their fluency by speaking with other Poles. With every mispronunciation and misused word, the idea of such a circus amuses me more. ROFLMAO.

As Grażyna's forums consist (mainly) of Poles speaking to other Poles in English, the man (woman(?)) hardly seems the ideal member.

Regarding the future of this forum.

Firstly, I resolve to mend my ways and try and make this group open to all. Inevitably, with a relatively high concentration of native speakers, this may be tough for some. If this is the case, I would recommend the following group:

Regarding moderation, any regular user who is interested is welcome to join the moderating group.

As Jarek keeps suggesting 'Lidia for president', I'd be quite happy to leave any future moderating decisions to her.

I believe there are two people on the English forums with 'moral' authority, and they would be Lidia and Steve Jones, who could represent both the 'Polish' and 'English' sides. Joj Yambrick could also represent America.

We already have 5 people with moderating powers here, myself, Rafal, Tatiana, Joj and Steve J, but I imagine they would all be prepared to go along with what everyone wanted.

Just to say:

I do not want anyone to provoke Grażyna on my behalf.

I am not hurt by not being a member of dyse.

Anyone supporting me is doing so entirely on their own initiative.
