I don't get it...

A professor of cultural theory at Manchester University is writing an article half the size of a web page, and a serious (?) British agazine publishes it just like that? I mean stating things without a base?
Everything he writes might rely on concrete findings, but is this the way a professor writes?

That's fishy.

And I'm not a Catholic or a supporter, but to me, that article doesn't hold any water.
Am I expected to know the secret documents, or take a solid stand against a person/formation/the catholic church just because I've read an article from a professor?

It looks like the atheists are on the loose. Taking a bite while they can.

I need someone sane against the loonies. Not another group of fanboys.

I would eat someone's guts out for trying to vanquish the right to free speech. Rock on. But why hatin' on the Pope, specifically?

(I'm not Catholic...anymore).

I really am curious and not defensive. Is HIV slapped on that office? Do these affected people pay attention to a word he says anyway?

Everyone knows that they should use condoms. Why is blood on HIS hands?
