I've asked a friend to bring a video camera and tape the gig. If he does, then sooner or later I'll upload the video to youtube or somewhere else. Watch this space :)

Alright, I survived the gig. Four bands performed in sort of a "battle of the bands". Obviously we didn't win it, which was clear to us from the beginning. We competed againts bands with several years of onstage experience.

All went well, we had fun like in the old days!

My mate (the camera guy) pulled a no show. Well, he got there eventually, but only 1 hr after our show was over. I'm so gonna go medieval on his ass today! I saw other people taking pics and taping our "performance" so maybe not all is lost after all.

Any stage fright? Performing live is such a scary thing for me, all these hundreds of people staring... No, I'm not a celebrity.

Our band is 5 people. Two of them (the singer and the lead guitarist) are real stage animals. They drew all the attention to themselves so the rest of the band, myself included, could focus on playing.

To sum it all up - there was some stage fright, before we got on stage, but it was gone as soon as we started playing the first tune and saw that the audience was responding.
