A Divorce Lawyer for the divorce through which I'm currently navigating after around 40 years of devotion. I can do it myself. The filthy, miserable bitch. She is the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. Promises, promises, promises, f*** ups, constantly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and then more promises and hype. Last championship: Around 60 years ago, and comically bad for 20 consecutive years since. You can see for yourself at a game, in person, if you can afford a typical week's salary for the tickets, parking, snacks, etc. I can do without them, and I'm divorcing them. Warren (Pompey) is better than I am.

Just now I was listening to Salman Rushdie in an interview (he kicked a religion in the teeth. Then he had to go into hiding). He was saying that maybe religion is part of the human childhood or adolescence, and that maybe they would grow out of it in the future.

I could do without affirmations about what I'm planning to cook based on what I'm buying. This often happens while I'm paying for my groceries. For example, "Making lasagna, huh?" Or "Making tacos?" "Allergy?"

So two kinds of responses: Either "Yep." Or "Pfff. No. I'm building a fence." :)

I'm accepting a few people addressing me as "dude." Anglosphere people, for one, because it's what we have learned, and one of my brothers says it.

In general, I get deference because of my stature and countenance that I earned. Damned right. I have come to expect it. Don't be some some little **** and call me "dude" at the gas station.

This is the time of year you're frequently asked by cashiers "would you like to donate to...." They ask you that while you're paying for your things or getting change back. You can go to five stores and get asked five times in an hour. I finally adapted to a response "I do those things from home." It just seems like a private thing to me and not something for when you're in a line of people. It's tacky, and I could do without it.

Now they come to the door too. What can I do? :) Release the hounds? Once a little Girl Scout came to the door with her mom and I told them you give ME 20 dollars but as I was reaching for money. Not much of a sense of humor, though (maybe mom thought I was getting a robbery weapon).
