Let's make it fun.
You receive 2 points for predicting the correct outcome (win, draw or loss) and 5 points for predicting the exact result.

But... also, you can get 1 extra point if you guess any of the scoring players, and if you predict which half of the game they score, that's 3 points. You can, however, predict only ONE scorer per game.

Should you want to try and predict the EXACT time of ANY goal in a given match and guess correctly, you will receive additional 10 points! You can only make ONE "exact time prediction" per match and you don't have to say who or which team is going to score. If you are off by 4 minutes on either end, you can still receive 5 points!

possible predictions you can make for this game:

2:2
Wayne Rooney scoring in 2nd half
A goal in 79th minute.

Let's say England win 3:1, Rooney scores in 54th minute, and there is another goal in 82nd minute...

- you get 0 points for the result;
- you get 3 points for Rooney scoring in 2nd half;
- you get 5 points for a goal scored 3 minutes within your time frame;

I will not give the name of a player because I don't know all of them.

Fair enough. I thought it might be educational. I will have 2 categories:
1 for those who only want to predict the scores;
2 for Polish people who have gone through a very complex and complicated educational system ;)

I would suggest just the normal 1pt correct result, 3 points correct score.

Anything else becomes too complicated, and takes too long to calculate.

I suggest 1pt/3pts qualifying

2pt/6pts 1/16th final

3pts/9pts 1/8th final

4pts/12pts semi-final

5pts/15pts final

Of course ;) They have a lot of time...know every player by heart, on which position they play, the number of their shirt, the size of their shoes, name of their wife and girlfriends ....

Guy, these things can be easily looked up. You can find bios of each team on the Internet and make a wild guess. When it comes to guessing the approximate time of a goal scored - no research necessary, really. It was meant to be a lottery of sorts for those who do have a little time and want to play something different. I guess it's a little too weird, so go ahead and do it your way.
